One of the most dynamic sectors of
the Russian chemical complex in 1998-2000 was plastics
and synthetic resins manufacture. In 1998-1999, 148
manufacturers of plastics and synthetic resins were
active on the Russian market. Their total output by 1
January 2000 was equal to 3.8 million tons.
Since 2000, there has been a steady
tendency of soft cable compounds market capacity increase.
The reason to it is a general tendency of the Russian
economy growth.
In 2003-2005, the following branches
of the Russian economy will be on the fastest track:
The projected market capacity
increase of soft cable compounds will be approximately 6
percent (expected capacity of 93,000 tons).
According to Russia's Industry and
Science Ministry research, chemical, petrochemical and
machine-building industries are expected to be the leaders
of the dynamic growth in Russia.
In 2001-2004, the volume of output
in Russia, in comparable prices, will increase by 20
percent as compared to the year 2000 data. Chemical,
petrochemical industries will increase by 31.7 percent
while machine-building industry will gain 30.4 percent,
Russia's Industry and Science Ministry research says.
In 2003, the aim of “VCP” JSC was to
increase the amounts of sales up to 20,408 tons. In the
forth quarter of 2003, we planned to market 9,845 tons of
plastic compounds. In fact, 10,444.8 tons of plastic
compounds have been off-loaded.
In the forth quarter of 2003, we
planned the volume of polyethers sales equal to 584 tons.
The business plan in the forth quarter of 2003 in terms of
polyethers sales was carried out at 90.6 percent, with
54.7 tons of deviation.
In the forth quarter of 2003, we
planned the volume of PET films sales equal to 678 tons.
In fact, “VCP ” JSC has sold 812.4 tons.
